ASCOMYCETE.ORG is a non-profit organization governed by the French Law of 1 July 1901 relative to the contract of association. Its purpose is the scientific study of fungi belonging to the Ascomycetes group, the dissemination of knowledge on mycological and ecological diversity of this group.

To achieve this objective, it wishes to implement the following means:

• dissemination of information through a website;
• publishing and dissemination of scientific publications, electronically or by paper;
• organizing events such as exhibitions, seminars or conferences;
• organizing scientific trips;
• organizing trainings;
• building a taxonomic and bibliographic database;
• building an herbarium of Ascomycetes fungi;
• and any other action within the jurisdiction of its object.

It wants to unite the community of mycologists, amateur and professional, passionate by Ascomycetes who want to share and disseminate their knowledge in this domain. For this, they can propose a variety of documents (key, slide shows, etc..), Wiki type contents, articles for publication in our e-journal or participate in the work of scanning documents.
